I-20 Concrete Pavement Replacement

Post Date:01/24/2017 3:28 PM

The Georgia Department of Transportation's $8.28 million contract concrete pavement replacement project from Interstate 20 mile 194 to mile 172 starts Monday morning.

If weather allows, crews will shut down the right hand westbound lane at Exit 194 and carry the closure two miles downstream to mile 192. Please be aware of traffic control and expected delays. Predicted wet weather could delay the start of the early week work.

Crews will move throughout the project area eastbound and westbound, closing no more than two miles at a time in either direction. Extended lane closures should be expected for construction activities.

The official completion date is August 31, 2017.

Whenever you approach a work zone: slow down; allow extra distance between vehicles; read signs; obey road crew flaggers; and expect the unexpected.

Citizens should monitor 511ga.org or download the App to stay current on all upcoming roadwork and projects. Georgia DOT East on Facebook and @GDOTEastTraffic on Twitter also provide daily updates.
