When Rain hits hard surfaces like driveways or roads it can pick up pollutants on its journey towards storm drains which lead to rivers.  Grass and plantings can help reduce pollutants from entering our vital natural waters by slowing down water runoff and acting as a filter.

Learn from your County Agent how to care for your exterior landscape.  Those of you that do not have a lawn: come with questions on your interior plants.  This is a valuable opportunity to have time to ask your County Agent for soil, lawn and plant advice while learning simple environmental steward tips on how you can help our watershed from Georgia Master Naturalist Margaret Alligood.
