Silver Lake Drive at Washington Road
COLUMBIA COUNTY, GA – Columbia County, in cooperation with Reeves Construction, wishes to inform the driving public of a temporary road closure of Silver Lake Drive at its intersection with Washington Rd. The road closure will prevent any thru traffic at that intersection. Drivers wishing to access neighborhoods and/or residences on Silver Lake Drive will need to do so by utilizing the detour at Halali Farm Road and Washington Road intersection. The temporary road closure will be from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2018, weather permitting.
Halali Farm Road, Bass Drive will be used as a detour for local traffic.
Evans Town Center Boulevard [Evans]
Columbia County wishes to inform the driving public of a temporary road closure on Evans Town Center Boulevard. The temporary closure will be the section of Evans Town Center Boulevard that spans from Ronald Reagan Dr to the rear entrance of the Kroger Shopping Center (4355 Washington Rd). This roadway will be closed to all thru traffic, beginning at 8:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 03, 2018 and will remain closed until Tuesday, May 29, 2018, weather permitting.
Washington Road Widening [Evans]
Columbia County, in cooperation with Reeves Construction Co., wishes to inform the traveling public that construction work for the Washington Road widening project is underway. The construction limits for the project are from William Few Parkway to Gibbs Rd, a distance of 2.9 miles and includes the widening of the G.B. “Dip” Lamkin Bridge over Euchee Creek. Temporary road closures, lane closures or lane shifts may occur as the project progresses. The estimated completion of the widening project is spring of 2018.
The speed limit within the Washington Road construction zone is 35 MPH. (Press Release) Please proceed with caution through this large work zone (2.9 miles) and be prepared for sudden stops throughout the length and scope of the project area. (Additional Project Information)
