Columbia County is pleased to release the Foundations for the Future Comprehensive Plan update to the public. Foundations for the Future is a policy document that presents the community's primary goals for achieving its vision for growth and development. This plan has been formulated under the guidance of the public through input sessions held throughout the last year, an appointed Steering Committee representing all four districts and the County at large, as well as representatives from the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce, Development Authority of Columbia County, Columbia County Board of Education, Fort Gordon, City of Grovetown, City of Harlem, and the development community. The Foundations for the Future Comprehensive Plan was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on February 17, 2026.
